On January 28, 2008, Mintz & Partners merged with Deloitte & Touche’s mid-market group, Private Company Services. The union of our two firms will help us to achieve a common goal: to be the advisor of choice to mid-market entrepreneurs by offering high-quality audit, tax, consulting and financial advisory services. Drawing on the strengths of both firms, we are convinced that the new practice will be in an even better position to offer you the best professional services in Greater Toronto.
We anticipate the change will be seamless. Clients will still be coming to the same office at 1 Concorde Gate and they will still have world-class personalized service from familiar faces. But clients will also benefit from greater access to global resources through Deloitte’s international network of firms and access to an additional group of highly dedicated professionals with expertise advising fast-growth companies.
For us, it’s business as usual – we will continue serving private companies in Greater Toronto while placing an emphasis on mid-market entrepreneurial public companies.

Phillip Lev, the partner responsible for standards, quality control and IFRS implementation, chaired the IFRS Convergence Conference, hosted by Infonex on December 4th and 5th in Toronto. The conference provided an opportunity to prepare for IFRS implementation in Canada -- a process that is still at an early stage -- and included speakers from the Canadian Accounting Standards Board and from the "big four" accounting firms.
